mechanical photo process
The images below were originally shot with a digital camera in Savannah, Georgia. They were printed on sheet metal using photocopy lithography. In this case, reversals of the images were printed in white ink over black and other color surfaces.
Being a mechanical process in addition to a photographic one, a further distance is created between subject and viewer. Like scanned images sent from a distant world, and as with all photography, we see what the machine sees. Not what the eye would see.
